As previously mentioned, Scholomance, located on the island of Caer Darrow in the Western Plaguelands serves as a school for would-be necromancers, or re-animators of the dead. In the post-Cataclysmic world, they are the greatest threat to bring the Scourge back.
Scholomance is one of the most immersive dungeons, with the spooky atmosphere of the evil school evident everywhere.
The hulking Ravenian is a Frankenstein-type creature who destroys any student who is judged unworthy.
Outside the instance are ghosts of those who were murdered by the school's residents, who ask you to avenge them. Eva and Lucien Sarkhoff were used by an evil doctor named The Butcher as guinea pigs to create the plague, and task you with killing him.
The Lich Ras Frostwhisper is the overseer of all of the Scourge activity in Scholomance...
