Located just north of the Wetlands, are the Arathi Highlands. This zone is a cross between a wide-open savanna and mountainous ruins. You enter the zone by crossing the Thandol Span from the Wetlands to the south.
The lone Alliance settlement, Refuge Pointe, is located in a valley in the center of the zone. Alliance players can receive quests and queue for the Arathi Basin battleground in the portal located here.
The Horde town is called Hammerfall, and is located in the northeastern part of the zone, near the mountains.
The main focus of the zone is the occupation of a former stronghold for the Alliance, Stromgarde Keep, by a band of thieves called the Syndicate.
Other threats include pirates...
trolls...
and ogres.
